Classroom Expectations

It is my goal for the students to have a secure learning environment.  In order to have this, I expect them to follow the rules of the classroom.  Please go over the rules with your child so that we may have a prosperous school year.

1.       Keep hands and feet to yourself.

2.     Share.

3.     Follow teacher’s directions.

4.     Be polite.  No name calling.

5.     Respect school and classroom property.

Classroom Management

It is important parents know, understand, and support my classroom management system. Everyday is a new day and each child’s card is “green. As rules are broken, privileges in the classroom are lost.

Consequences to breaking classroom rules:

First Strike: Verbal warning with redirection.

Second Strike: Card is changed to “yellow and time away for five minutes from the activity.

Third Strike: Card is changed to red”.

The child will loose recess time by walking a couple laps around the playground.

If your child brings home a note, keep in mind that he or she has been redirected three separate times during the day. Please ask your child what rule was broken at school and how he or she can make it better for a good day tomorrow.

As good work and behavior incentives, I reward the students individually and as a group to achieve Respect, Responsibility, and Safety.
