Classroom Rules
Keep hands feet and all other objects to yourself.
Be respectful to your teacher and others.
Do not talk when the teacher is instructing.
Stay in your area during instructional time.
Do not talk when the lights are out.
Finish your work by staying on task.
Use your quiet voice in the classroom.
Do not disturb others during work time.
All children have a bumblebee on a color coded "Bee-havior" chart. Good choices and following the rules keeps a bee in the blue all day. If a child breaks one of the rules, the following consequences will occur:
First: Get a verbal warning.
Second: Move the bee into the green zone and lose 5 minutes of playtime.
Third: Move the bee into the red zone and lose 10 minutes of playtime.
Fourth: Move the bee into the black zone, lose total playtime and a note to parents.
If there is a serious infraction or an incident that endangers others, the child will be immediately removed from the room and sent to the office.
Rewards are given for appropriate behavior, good manners, good work ethic and kindness to others.
The chart below was lost in the hurricane so we are improvising. We are using the same color changes and the rules are the same but the new chart is not quite as nice as the one I lost. I am still searching for the same type of cardboard chart that can be painted the necessary colors.
