About Mrs. Prokop

I was born many years ago in Framingham, Massachusetts and given the name Maurine. Although my mom loved my name, the spelling has caused me trouble all my life so my friends just call me Moe.  I moved to Hyannis, Cape Cod when I was very little and lived there until I left for college  in Evanston, Illinois.  I received my bachelors degree in elementary education and specific learning disabilities.  I then moved to Florida and received my masters degree in early childhood.  This is my 31st year teaching kindergarten and this is where I plan to stay until I retire.

I have six terrific children named Lisa, Dana, Amanda, Brendan, Megan and Justin.  I also have four awesome wonderful grandchildren named Christopher, Mia, Emma and Grace. Lisa and Dana are settled with their own families,  Amanda has graduated from Palmer Chiropractic and passed the boards with flying colors.  She is now Dr. Amanda Prokop and insisted I put that on my page.    Brendan is working for a pharmaceutical company and traveling a lot. Megan is in middle school and Justin is in the third grade.  I am a foster mom  so I often have an extra child or two tagging along with me.  Last but not least, I have been married for 32 years to Ed, the greatest guy on earth.  I have a dog named Domino and two cats named Brandy and Ginger.
